 Lesson 5 : Confidence Intervals. This lecture was given at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia on 19 September 2013. Confidence intervals are the basis for most statistical tests. This lesson explains the difference between the z-statistic and the t-statistic, as well as the z distribution and the t distribution.

 The textbook used for this course is: Statistical Methods for the Social Sciences (4th Edition), by Alan Agresti and Barbara Finlay, although the course can be used with any relevant textbook.
