  Lesson 18: Ridge Regression. This lecture was given at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia on 21 November 2013. Ridge regression is discussed as a method for diagnosing multiple regression models with severe multicollinearity. Also, the centering procedure is similarly discussed with respect to ameliorating the effects of multicollinearity caused by the inclusion of interaction terms in multiple regression models. The R code for Assignment #6 relating to ridge regression is explained.

 The textbook used for this course is: Statistical Methods for the Social Sciences (4th Edition), by Alan Agresti and Barbara Finlay, although the course can be used with any relevant textbook.
