3. Have mercy upon us, O LORD, have mercy upon us: for we are exceedingly filled with contempt.

오 {주}여, 우리에게 긍휼을 베푸소서. 우리에게 긍휼을 베푸소서. 멸시가 우리에게 극도로 넘치나이다.

1. of degrees. Unto thee lift I up mine eyes, O thou that dwellest in the heavens.

(위로 올라가는 노래) 오 하늘들에 거하시는 주여, 내가 주께로 내 눈을 드나이다.

2. Behold, as the eyes of servants [look] unto the hand of their masters, [and] as the eyes of a maiden unto the hand of her mistress; so our eyes [wait] upon the LORD our God, until that he have mercy upon us.

보소서, 주인의 손을 바라보는 종들의 눈같이, 여주인의 손을 바라보는 여종의 눈같이 우리 눈이 {주} 우리 [하나님]을 바라되 그분께서 우리에게 긍휼을 베푸시기까지 바라나이다.

3. Have mercy upon us, O LORD, have mercy upon us: for we are exceedingly filled with contempt.

오 {주}여, 우리에게 긍휼을 베푸소서. 우리에게 긍휼을 베푸소서. 멸시가 우리에게 극도로 넘치나이다.

4. Our soul is exceedingly filled with the scorning of those that are at ease, [and] with the contempt of the proud.

안락한 자들의 조소와 교만한 자들의 멸시가 우리 혼에게 극도로 넘치나이다.
