[다번역성경찬송]
Job 6장
1. But Job answered and said,
그러나 욥이 응답하여 이르되,
2. Oh that my grief were throughly weighed, and my calamity laid in the balances together!
아 내 고통을 철저히 달아 보고 내 재앙을 저울 위에 모두 놓을 수 있으면 좋겠도다!
3. For now it would be heavier than the sand of the sea: therefore my words are swallowed up.
이제 그것이 바다의 모래보다 무거울 터인즉 내 말들을 삼키리로다.
4. For the arrows of the Almighty [are] within me, the poison whereof drinketh up my spirit: the terrors of God do set themselves in array against me.
[전능자]의 화살들이 내 속에 있어서 그것들의 독이 내 영을 마시나니 [하나님]의 두려움들이 진을 치고 나를 대적하는도다.
5. Doth the wild ass bray when he hath grass? or loweth the ox over his fodder?
들나귀가 풀이 있을 때에 울겠느냐? 소가 자기의 꼴을 보고 울겠느냐?
6. Can that which is unsavoury be eaten without salt? or is there [any] taste in the white of an egg?
맛없는 것을 소금도 없이 먹을 수 있겠느냐? 달걀의 흰자위가 무슨 맛이 있겠느냐?
7. The things [that] my soul refused to touch [are] as my sorrowful meat.
내 혼이 만지기도 거부한 것들이 나를 슬프게 하는 음식같이 되었도다.
8. Oh that I might have my request; and that God would grant [me] the thing that I long for!
아 내가 요청하는 것을 내가 받고 내가 갈망하는 것을 [하나님]이 주시면 좋겠구나!
9. Even that it would please God to destroy me; that he would let loose his hand, and cut me off!
심지어 [하나님]께서 나를 멸하기를 기뻐하사 자신의 손을 놓으시고 나를 끊어 버리시면 좋겠구나!
10. Then should I yet have comfort; yea, I would harden myself in sorrow: let him not spare; for I have not concealed the words of the Holy One.
그리하면 내가 오히려 위로를 받고 참으로 슬픔 속에서도 내 자신을 단단하게 하리로다. 그분께서 그것들을 아끼지 아니하시기를 바라노니 이는 내가 [거룩하신 이]의 말씀들을 숨기지 아니하였기 때문이라.
11. What [is] my strength, that I should hope? and what [is] mine end, that I should prolong my life?
내 기력이 어떠하기에 내가 소망을 갖겠느냐? 내 마지막이 어떠하기에 내가 내 생명을 연장하겠느냐?
12. [Is] my strength the strength of stones? or [is] my flesh of brass?
내 기력이 돌들의 기력이냐? 내 육체가 놋으로 되었느냐?
13. [Is] not my help in me? and is wisdom driven quite from me?
나의 도움이 내 안에 있지 아니하냐? 지혜가 내게서 아주 쫓겨나갔느냐?
14. To him that is afflicted pity [should be shewed] from his friend; but he forsaketh the fear of the Almighty.
고난 받는 자를 그의 친구가 불쌍히 여길 것이로되 그가 [전능자] 두려워하기를 저버리는도다.
15. My brethren have dealt deceitfully as a brook, [and] as the stream of brooks they pass away;
내 형제들은 개울과 같이 속임수로 대하였고 그들은 개울들의 물살같이 지나가느니라.
16. Which are blackish by reason of the ice, [and] wherein the snow is hid:
그것들은 얼음 때문에 거무스레하고 그 속에는 눈이 숨겨져 있도다.
17. What time they wax warm, they vanish: when it is hot, they are consumed out of their place.
그것들이 따뜻하게 되는 때에 사라지고 날이 더울 때에 자기 자리에서 소멸되는도다.
18. The paths of their way are turned aside; they go to nothing, and perish.
개울들이 흐르는 길의 통로들은 옆으로 벗어나 아무 데도 가지 못하고 소멸되느니라.
19. The troops of Tema looked, the companies of Sheba waited for them.
데마의 무리들이 바라보고 세바의 일행들이 그것들을 기대하다가
20. They were confounded because they had hoped; they came thither, and were ashamed.
거기에 이르러 자기들이 소망을 가졌으므로 당황하고 부끄러워하였도다.
21. For now ye are nothing; ye see [my] casting down, and are afraid.
이제 너희는 아무것도 아니로다. 내가 내던져진 것을 너희가 보고 두려워하는도다.
22. Did I say, Bring unto me? or, Give a reward for me of your substance?
내가, 무엇을 가져오라, 하더냐? 또는, 너희 재산 중에서 내게 보상을 달라, 하더냐?
23. Or, Deliver me from the enemys hand? or, Redeem me from the hand of the mighty?
또는, 원수의 손에서 나를 건져 달라, 하더냐? 또는, 강력한 자의 손에서 나를 구속하라, 하더냐?
24. Teach me, and I will hold my tongue: and cause me to understand wherein I have erred.
나를 가르치라. 내가 내 혀를 억누르리라. 내가 어디에서 잘못하였는지 깨닫게 하라.
25. How forcible are right words! but what doth your arguing reprove?
바른 말들은 참으로 얼마나 위력이 있는가! 그런데 너희의 주장은 무엇을 책망하느냐?
26. Do ye imagine to reprove words, and the speeches of one that is desperate, [which are] as wind?
절망에 빠진 자의 말들은 바람과 같거늘 너희가 그 말들을 책망하고자 꾀하느냐?
27. Yea, ye overwhelm the fatherless, and ye dig [a pit] for your friend.
참으로 너희는 아버지 없는 자를 기죽게 만들며 너희 친구를 노리고 구덩이를 파는도다.
28. Now therefore be content, look upon me; for [it is] evident unto you if I lie.
그러므로 이제 흡족히 여기고 나를 쳐다보라. 내가 거짓말을 하면 그것이 너희에게 분명히 드러나느니라.
29. Return, I pray you, let it not be iniquity; yea, return again, my righteousness [is] in it.
청하건대 너희는 돌아오고 그것이 불법이 되지 않게 하라. 내 의가 그것 안에 있으니 참으로 되돌아오라.
30. Is there iniquity in my tongue? cannot my taste discern perverse things?
내 혀에 불법이 있느냐? 내 미각이 잘못된 것들을 분간하지 못하겠느냐?

[다번역성경찬송]
Job 7장
1. [Is there] not an appointed time to man upon earth? [are not] his days also like the days of an hireling?
땅 위에 사는 사람에게는 정해진 기한이 있지 아니하냐? 그의 날들은 또한 품꾼의 날들과 같지 아니하냐?
2. As a servant earnestly desireth the shadow, and as an hireling looketh for [the reward of] his work:
종이 어두워지기를 간절히 바라고 품꾼이 자기 일의 품삯을 기다리는 것 같이
3. So am I made to possess months of vanity, and wearisome nights are appointed to me.
내가 허무한 달들을 소유하게 되었으며 또 고달픈 밤들이 내게 정하여졌도다.
4. When I lie down, I say, When shall I arise, and the night be gone? and I am full of tossings to and fro unto the dawning of the day.
내가 누울 때면 말하기를, 언제나 일어날까, 언제나 밤이 지나갈까? 하며 날이 샐 때까지 하염없이 이리저리 뒤척거리는도다.
5. My flesh is clothed with worms and clods of dust; my skin is broken, and become loathsome.
내 살에는 벌레들과 흙덩이가 옷처럼 입혀졌고 내 살갗은 터지고 역겹게 되었으며
6. My days are swifter than a weavers shuttle, and are spent without hope.
내 날들은 베 짜는 자의 북보다 빠르며 소망도 없이 허비되는도다.
7. O remember that my life [is] wind: mine eye shall no more see good.
오 내 생명이 바람 같음을 기억하소서. 내 눈이 다시는 좋은 것을 보지 못하리이다.
8. The eye of him that hath seen me shall see me no [more]: thine eyes [are] upon me, and I [am] not.
나를 본 자의 눈이 다시는 나를 보지 못하리니 주의 눈이 내 위에 있은즉 내가 있지 아니하나이다.
9. [As] the cloud is consumed and vanisheth away: so he that goeth down to the grave shall come up no [more].
구름이 소멸되어 사라짐같이 무덤에 내려가는 자도 다시는 올라오지 못하리니
10. He shall return no more to his house, neither shall his place know him any more.
그가 다시는 자기 집으로 돌아가지 못하며 그의 처소도 다시는 그를 알지 못하리이다.
11. Therefore I will not refrain my mouth; I will speak in the anguish of my spirit; I will complain in the bitterness of my soul.
그런즉 내가 내 입을 금하지 아니하고 내 영이 번민 중에 말하며 내 혼이 고통 중에 불평하리이다.
12. [Am] I a sea, or a whale, that thou settest a watch over me?
내가 바다나 고래이기에 주께서 나를 감시하시나이까?
13. When I say, My bed shall comfort me, my couch shall ease my complaint;
내가 말하기를, 내 잠자리가 나를 위로하고 내 잠자는 의자가 내 원통함을 풀어 주리라, 할 때에
14. Then thou scarest me with dreams, and terrifiest me through visions:
주께서 꿈들로 나를 놀라게 하시며 환상들을 통해 나를 두렵게 하시나이다.
15. So that my soul chooseth strangling, [and] death rather than my life.
그러므로 내 혼이 내 생명을 택하느니 차라리 숨이 막히는 것과 죽는 것을 택하나이다.
16. I loathe [it]; I would not live alway: let me alone; for my days [are] vanity.
내가 내 생명을 싫어하며 계속해서 사는 것을 원치 아니하오니 나를 내버려 두소서. 내 날들은 헛것이니이다.
17. What [is] man, that thou shouldest magnify him? and that thou shouldest set thine heart upon him?
사람이 무엇이기에 주께서 그를 크게 만드시나이까? 또 주께서 주의 마음을 그에게 두시나이까?
18. And [that] thou shouldest visit him every morning, [and] try him every moment?
또 주께서 아침마다 그를 찾아보시고 순간마다 단련하시나이까?
19. How long wilt thou not depart from me, nor let me alone till I swallow down my spittle?
주께서 어느 때까지 내게서 떠나지 아니하시며 혹은 내가 침을 삼킬 때까지 나를 내버려 두지 아니하시리이까?
20. I have sinned; what shall I do unto thee, O thou preserver of men? why hast thou set me as a mark against thee, so that I am a burden to myself?
오 사람들을 보존하시는 주여, 내가 죄를 지었사오니 주께 무엇을 하여야 하리이까? 주께서 어찌하여 나를 세우사 주를 대적하는 과녁이 되게 하시며 내가 내 자신에게 무거운 짐이 되게 하셨나이까?
21. And why dost thou not pardon my transgression, and take away mine iniquity? for now shall I sleep in the dust; and thou shalt seek me in the morning, but I [shall] not [be].
주께서 어찌하여 내 범죄를 용서하지 아니하시며 내 불법을 제거하지 아니하시나이까? 내가 이제 흙 속에서 잠들리니 주께서 아침에 나를 찾으실지라도 내가 있지 아니하리이다, 하니라.

Job 8장
1. Then answered Bildad the Shuhite, and said,
그때에 수아 사람 빌닷이 응답하여 이르되,
2. How long wilt thou speak these [things]? and [how long shall] the words of thy mouth [be like] a strong wind?
네가 어느 때까지 이런 것들을 말하려느냐? 어느 때까지 네 입의 말들이 거센 바람 같겠느냐?
3. Doth God pervert judgment? or doth the Almighty pervert justice?
[하나님]께서 공의를 굽게 하시느냐? [전능자]께서 정의를 굽게 하시느냐?
4. If thy children have sinned against him, and he have cast them away for their transgression;
네 자녀들이 그분께 죄를 지었으므로 그분께서 그들의 범죄로 인하여 그들을 내버리셨을지라도
5. If thou wouldest seek unto God betimes, and make thy supplication to the Almighty;
네가 만일 늦기 전에 [하나님]께 구하고 [전능자]께 간구하며
6. If thou [wert] pure and upright; surely now he would awake for thee, and make the habitation of thy righteousness prosperous.
또 네가 순수하고 곧바르면 이제 그분께서 반드시 너를 위해 깨어나사 네 의가 거하는 처소를 형통하게 하시리니
7. Though thy beginning was small, yet thy latter end should greatly increase.
비록 네 시작은 작을지라도 네 마지막 끝은 심히 크게 되리라.
8. For enquire, I pray thee, of the former age, and prepare thyself to the search of their fathers:
원하건대 너는 이전 시대 사람들에게 물으며 네 자신을 예비하여 그들의 조상들이 탐구한 바에 주의를 기울이라.
9. , and know nothing, because our days upon earth [are] a shadow:
(우리는 겨우 어제부터 있었을 뿐이며 또 땅 위에 있는 우리의 날들은 그림자이므로 우리가 아무것도 알지 못하느니라.)
10. Shall not they teach thee, [and] tell thee, and utter words out of their heart?
그들이 네게 가르치고 네게 말하며 자기 마음에서 나온 말들을 말하지 아니하겠느냐?
11. Can the rush grow up without mire? can the flag grow without water?
골풀이 진흙도 없이 자라겠느냐? 아마가 물도 없이 자라겠느냐?
12. Whilst it [is] yet in his greenness, [and] not cut down, it withereth before any [other] herb.
그것은 푸른 기가 여전하고 베이지도 아니하였으나 다른 채소보다 먼저 시드느니라.
13. So [are] the paths of all that forget God; and the hypocrites hope shall perish:
[하나님]을 잊어버리는 모든 자의 길들도 그와 같으며 위선자의 소망은 사라지리니
14. Whose hope shall be cut off, and whose trust [shall be] a spiders web.
그의 소망은 끊어지고 그가 신뢰하는 것은 거미줄이 되리라.
15. He shall lean upon his house, but it shall not stand: he shall hold it fast, but it shall not endure.
그가 자기 집에 기댈지라도 그 집이 서지 못하며 그가 그 집을 굳게 붙들지라도 그 집이 견디지 못하리라.
16. He [is] green before the sun, and his branch shooteth forth in his garden.
그는 해 앞에서 푸르며 그의 가지는 그의 정원에서 뻗어나가고
17. His roots are wrapped about the heap, [and] seeth the place of stones.
그의 뿌리들은 무더기를 감싸며 돌들이 있는 곳을 보는도다.
18. If he destroy him from his place, then [it] shall deny him, [saying], I have not seen thee.
그분께서 그의 자리에서 그를 떼 내어 멸하시면 그가 있던 자리도 그를 부인하며 이르기를, 내가 너를 보지 못하였다, 하리라.
19. Behold, this [is] the joy of his way, and out of the earth shall others grow.
보라, 그의 길의 기쁨은 이와 같으니 다른 자들이 그 땅에서 자라나리로다.
20. Behold, God will not cast away a perfect [man], neither will he help the evil doers:
보라, [하나님]은 완전한 사람을 버리지 아니하시며 악을 행하는 자들을 돕지도 아니하시고
21. Till he fill thy mouth with laughing, and thy lips with rejoicing.
마침내 웃음을 네 입에, 기쁨을 네 입술에 채우시리라.
22. They that hate thee shall be clothed with shame; and the dwelling place of the wicked shall come to nought.
너를 미워하는 자들은 수치로 옷 입을 것이요, 사악한 자들이 거하는 처소는 없어지리라, 하니라.

Job 9장
1. Then Job answered and said,
그때에 욥이 응답하여 이르되,
2. I know [it is] so of a truth: but how should man be just with God?
내가 진실로 그 일이 그런 줄을 알거니와 사람이 어찌 [하나님]과 견주어 의로우랴?
3. If he will contend with him, he cannot answer him one of a thousand.
사람이 그분과 논쟁하려 할지라도 천 마디에 한 마디도 대답하지 못하리라.
4. [He is] wise in heart, and mighty in strength: who hath hardened [himself] against him, and hath prospered?
그분은 마음이 지혜롭고 힘이 강하시니 누가 자신을 강퍅하게 하여 그분을 거역하고 형통하였느냐?
5. Which removeth the mountains, and they know not: which overturneth them in his anger.
그분께서 산들을 옮겨도 그것들이 알지 못하나니 그분께서 분노하사 그것들을 뒤엎으시는도다.
6. Which shaketh the earth out of her place, and the pillars thereof tremble.
그분께서 땅을 흔드사 그것의 자리에서 떠나게 하시니 땅의 기둥들이 떠는도다.
7. Which commandeth the sun, and it riseth not; and sealeth up the stars.
그분께서 해에게 명령하사 뜨지 못하게 하시고 별들을 봉하시며
8. Which alone spreadeth out the heavens, and treadeth upon the waves of the sea.
그분께서 홀로 하늘들을 펴시고 바다의 파도들을 밟으시며
9. Which maketh Arcturus, Orion, and Pleiades, and the chambers of the south.
악투루스 별과 오리온 별자리와 플레이아데스 별무리와 남쪽의 방들을 만드시고
10. Which doeth great things past finding out; yea, and wonders without number.
알아낼 수 없는 큰일들을 행하시며 참으로 수도 없이 이적들을 행하시느니라.
11. Lo, he goeth by me, and I see [him] not: he passeth on also, but I perceive him not.
보라, 그분께서 내 곁을 지나가셔도 내가 그분을 보지 못하며 그분께서 또한 계속 나아가셔도 내가 그분을 알아내지 못하는도다.
12. Behold, he taketh away, who can hinder him? who will say unto him, What doest thou?
보라, 그분께서 가져가시면 누가 그분을 막을 수 있겠느냐? 누가 그분께 이르기를, 주께서 무엇을 하시나이까, 하겠느냐?
13. [If] God will not withdraw his anger, the proud helpers do stoop under him.
[하나님]께서 자신의 분노를 거두지 아니하시면 교만한 협력자들도 그분 밑에서 허리를 굽히겠거늘
14. How much less shall I answer him, [and] choose out my words [to reason] with him?
하물며 내가 어찌 그분께 대답하겠으며 무슨 말을 택하여 그분과 변론하겠느냐?
15. Whom, though I were righteous, [yet] would I not answer, [but] I would make supplication to my judge.
비록 내가 의로울지라도 그분께 감히 대답하지 못하겠고 도리어 나를 심판하시는 이에게 간구하리라.
16. If I had called, and he had answered me; [yet] would I not believe that he had hearkened unto my voice.
내가 그분을 부르므로 그분께서 내게 응답하셨을지라도 그분께서 내 음성을 들으셨다고는 내가 믿지 아니하리니
17. For he breaketh me with a tempest, and multiplieth my wounds without cause.
그분께서는 폭풍으로 나를 꺾으시고 까닭 없이 내 상처를 늘리시며
18. He will not suffer me to take my breath, but filleth me with bitterness.
내가 숨도 쉬지 못하게 하시고 오직 쓰라린 고통으로 나를 채우시는도다.
19. If [I speak] of strength, lo, [he is] strong: and if of judgment, who shall set me a time [to plead]?
내가 힘에 대하여 말할진대, 보라, 그분께서는 강하시며 심판에 대하여 말할진대 누가 내게 변호할 시간을 정해 주리요?
20. If I justify myself, mine own mouth shall condemn me: [if I say], I [am] perfect, it shall also prove me perverse.
내가 스스로 의롭다 하면 내 입이 나를 정죄할 것이요, 내가 말하기를, 나는 완전하다, 하면 그 말이 또한 내가 비뚤어진 것을 입증하리라.
21. [Though] I [were] perfect, [yet] would I not know my soul: I would despise my life.
비록 내가 완전할지라도 나는 내 혼을 알려 하지 아니할 것이요, 내 생명을 멸시하리로다.
22. This [is] one [thing], therefore I said [it], He destroyeth the perfect and the wicked.
이 일이 한 가지라. 그러므로 내가 말하기를, 그분께서 완전한 자와 사악한 자를 멸하신다, 하였도다.
23. If the scourge slay suddenly, he will laugh at the trial of the innocent.
채찍이 갑자기 사람을 죽인다 해도 그분께서는 죄 없는 자의 시련을 비웃으시리라.
24. The earth is given into the hand of the wicked: he covereth the faces of the judges thereof; if not, where, [and] who [is] he?
그분께서 땅을 사악한 자들의 손에 넘겨주셨으며 땅의 재판관들의 얼굴을 가리셨나니 그렇지 아니하면 그분이 어디에 있으며 또 누구이겠느냐?
25. Now my days are swifter than a post: they flee away, they see no good.
이제 내 날들이 파발꾼보다 빨리 지나가며 달아나 버리므로 좋은 일을 보지 못하는도다.
26. They are passed away as the swift ships: as the eagle [that] hasteth to the prey.
그 날들이 빠른 배들처럼 지나갔으며 또 먹이를 향해 치닫는 독수리처럼 지나갔도다.
27. If I say, I will forget my complaint, I will leave off my heaviness, and comfort [myself]:
가령 내가 말하기를, 내가 내 원통함을 잊고 내 근심에서 벗어나 내 자신을 위로하리라, 할지라도
28. I am afraid of all my sorrows, I know that thou wilt not hold me innocent.
내가 내 모든 고통을 두려워하며 주께서 나를 무죄한 자로 여기지 아니할 줄을 아나이다.
29. [If] I be wicked, why then labour I in vain?
내가 사악할진대 어찌 헛되이 수고하나이까?
30. If I wash myself with snow water, and make my hands never so clean;
내가 눈 녹은 물로 내 몸을 씻고 그 어느 때보다도 내 손을 깨끗이 할지라도
31. Yet shalt thou plunge me in the ditch, and mine own clothes shall abhor me.
주께서 나를 도랑에 빠지게 하시리니 내 옷마저도 나를 몹시 싫어하리이다.
32. For [he is] not a man, as I [am, that] I should answer him, [and] we should come together in judgment.
그분은 나처럼 사람이 아니시므로 내가 그분께 대답할 수도 없으며 우리가 함께 재판을 받으러 갈 수도 없고
33. Neither is there any daysman betwixt us, [that] might lay his hand upon us both.
우리 사이에는 우리 둘 위에 손을 얹을 중재인도 없도다.
34. Let him take his rod away from me, and let not his fear terrify me:
그분께서 자신의 막대기를 내게서 치우시고 자신의 두려움으로 나를 무섭게 하지 아니하시기를 원하노라.
35. [Then] would I speak, and not fear him; but [it is] not so with me.
그리하시면 내가 말을 하고 그분을 두려워하지 아니하리로다. 그러나 일이 내게 그렇지 아니하도다.
